Jensen Ackles

Jensen Ackles was born in Dallas, Texas, to Roger Alan Ackles and Donna Joan Ackles. After modeling as a young child, he began to concentrate on acting career.
I started to like Jensen Ackles when I watch him on Supernatural series. I discovered that he was a special talent. He is a really good actor, he has a good sense of humor and he’s a beautiful guy too.
On Supernatural he represents one of the brothers Winchester, Dean Winchester, and he is a demon hunter. He participated on other television series like “Smallville”, “Dark Angel”, “Blonde” and “Days of Our Lives”.

What Not to Wear

What Not to Wear is an American reality television show about fashion directed by Stacy London and Clinton Kelly.
I decided to choose this program because sometimes I watch it on People & Arts, a TV channel, and I like it so much.
On this reality show, the participant receives a Bank of American Visa card in the amount of 5,000 dollars to buy a whole new wardrobe but first of all he/she is submitted for an honest criticism. If the participant accepts the challenge, he/she is brought to New York City for a week of evaluation, shopping and hair and makeup styling.
It´s interesting see the transformations because they have to convince people, who wearing inappropriate clothes for their age or don’t make salient their body, to change their clothes, hair and makeup.
I watch an episode where a girl didn’t want to cut your hair because she respected her tradition so she considered her hair a precious thing.

Multicultural Society

On all over the world live people together with different nationalities, colors and cultures and this is the people who form a multicultural society.
As we spoke on class, Australia is considered a multicultural society because this country receives people from everywhere. Australians respect all religions, they value the wealth of diversity and social sophistication. So Australia is a safe, friendly and harmonious country.
It’s very important to keep peace between mixed people so they can live and work together. But sometimes this is not easy because we live in a prejudice world where there is many conflicts with people of different races (racism) and different cultures.
By the other hand, living in a multicultural society has some advantages. People can learn more about different cultures, lifestyles and traditions.
Some countries welcome foreign cultures more than other. For example, in the UK you can find information written in many different languages, however, in Germany you will just find information in German and sometimes in English.
We should accept people from everywhere because we can profit a lot with that.
